Only popped in for lunch. Staff so friendly and helpful. We just had baguettes but they were very tasty and very good value. The Ledbury Bitter was an excellent pint.Worth a visit if you're passing

We called in to the Axe and Cleaver for lunch on our way home from North Wales to Berkshire. Although it was nearly 2pm they were happy to cook for us. The food was lovely, my husband said it was the best fish and chips he had had for a long time. We would definitely go there again.

Had lovely tea tonight, this came with big salad too. Am on slimming world so did not want chips, onion, rings, etc. Asked if chef could flavour my steak with garlic and he served some roasted garlic on side. Was all spot on, many thanks
